Identify sales opportunities and channels. Initiate, build and maintain strategic relationships within VTX1's target market of commercial customers. Ensure market profitability through key initiatives, local partnerships and closing profitable sales opportunities.


Actively drive VTX1's mission and vision, demonstrating our values consistently.

Identify sales opportunities through cold calling, existing database of customers and networking/social media activities.

Meet and exceed assigned sales quota by acquiring new customer business and renewing and growing existing relationships dealing with key decision makers.

Own entire customer life cycle from initial dialogue, quotation of solutions and presenting contracts.

Continually learn and develop sales skills, techniques and product knowledge to increase success.

Keeps Direct Supervisor/Manager advised of trends affecting VTX1's competitive status.

Deliver the highest standard of customer service.

Represent VTX1 with public, community groups and professional organizations.

Call on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotes.

Maintain a pipeline of potential Sales opportunities.

Maintain record of activities and opportunities in VTX1's Billing/CRM system.

Perform other duties in support of the sales functions.


Bachelor's degree (BBA/MBA preferred) from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience plus 3 or more years of sales experience. Sales background in the following:

Fixed wireless and other telecommunications products such as DIA, FIA, PRI and SIP

Telephony System Sales

Television Subscriber Sales

Network system solution Sales

Security and Surveillance Sales


Valid Texas Driver's License and insurable driving record.

Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Must be able to successfully complete a background check.


Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Ability to work at multiple locations within a region.

Strong personal and professional network in our geographic service area.

Strong customer service skills.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Solid understanding of complete sales cycle management, from prospecting to closing.

Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and initiative.

Knowledge of telecommunications technology, products and services.

Skill in operating various types of office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs, and telephone systems.

Skill in identifying and resolving customer/member problems.

Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.

Professional appearance.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.

Ability to pay close attention to detail.

Ability to create a team environment and sustain employee morale.
